..unless you have a DX then you will need to swap to a multi port injection. I still would'nt mess with a ZC as for they are very limited aftermarket wise,

the motors originally came in the japanese and canadian 88-91 CR-X Si ll (basically the same trim as our Si's)... the step up from the Si ll of course was the CR-X and Civic SiR, which had a B16A...
they do have 2 ZC motors, one a single cam and one a dual cam... the DOHC ZC is rated at about 134hp and i think the same torque as a D16A6... its basically a dual cam non vtec head on a D16A6 block...

ok, all you guys that know so much about zc's better start doing your reseach. there are more than two different types. there are plenty of aftermarket parts, you just need to know where to look.
they have 129 hp, not 120.
hyper, i believe they originally came in the integra or JDM crx sir.
mine was out of a jdm crx sir.
checkout www.quickhonda.net they have some good basic zc info for you guys. and this little zc will kill 1.6 and 1.8 dohc vtecs all day.

This is the internet. You're just supposed to talk up whatever you do know as if you're a salesman for it. i.e. I drive a Supra and a Corolla therefore 2JZ is the greatest and so is the 4A and I don't care about anything else because it's all crap since I don't have it. I also have a stack of $20 bills in front of me, therefore 20>50 and 20>100 and 20>1000. $20 bill FTW.

No one ever said they were the definitive resource on ZC motors. I said that I thought there were two, there may be more then 2 types, although I sure can't find anything on them. I know there's a 1.6 DOHC and a SOHC/VTEC motor.
and although I haven't checked yet.... Im sure that lil' ZC is modded, and stock it can't stand up to a stock 1.6DOHC/VTEC or 1.8DOHC VTEC.

edit: and yes, accord95vtec is right... there are plenty of aftermarket parts that you can "use"... nothing is specifically made for a "ZC" motor, but you can use aftermarket parts from select different motors...

wrong agian hyper, look at my cars, i have a zc. they're plenty of parts specifically for the zc engine. i know they maybe hard to find, and most people may use the parts from the d16. but plenty of companies make parts for me. you want to see my engine??? all the parts are for the zc. also you can ask coleon(john) he is who i bought my zc from, he also has a more heavily modded zc at his house. i was just over his house the other day and he showed me his eagle rods made "specifically for the zc" and his pistons made "specifically for the zc" and the AEM cam gears i have are also for the zc!
