Default Mini-me Swapping????

Alright I've been thinking about going this route butl i don't really know anyone thats done one before so I'm coming to you with questions....I've searched around on the internet and even here on TR some but most of my questions still linger....mainly i'm just looking for a parts list, some pricing, will i have to mess with the fuel injection or anything of that sort, if any of you have this and what your experience with it has been...I've got a 91 crx hf that this would be going on so i think that's a d15b6....anything you guys could give me would be a big help

The hf block is not a good canidate since it was an 8 valve motor the pistons only have 8 valve reliefs so your remaining 8 valves will hit the pistons. Our shop/garage has some experience with these. pm me or racin if you have any questions.

Note: the hf blocks might be like some of the cx blocks, some years have the 8 valve pistons and some have the 16 valve pistons. The only two hf blocks I've taken apart had 8 valve pistons though. I believe both of those blocks were 1990 blocks.

I JUST did my mini me.i have a 90 crx si.i went with the y8 head.i was able to use my stock distributor, intake manifold.i got a timing belt for the d16z6 motor{only later to find out that it is the same part # as the y8}head gasket for the y8.{this gasket will up your compression}i also got an aem tru time cam gear, because the swap is a degree or two off.anyway that was the parts checklist.DONT FORGET TO REMOVE THE OIL PRESSURE INSERT ON YOUR BLOCK.you wont need it as the vtec head has one in it.
