Ok.....Im switching from 17s to 16 inch wheels now...I have never had 16s...I have always used 205-40 tires with the 17s...IM just wondering .....since i was happy with 205-40s....I was going to get them with the 16s also...but I dont see or hear of alot of people getting that size tire with 16s....is there a particular reason for this? All of you with 16s...what size tire do you prefer and why?

 

if you wanna keep the same height then get a 205/50/16 but if you liked the handling and characteristics of the 205/40 then go with it. You will just lose an inch worth of wheel.

 

Never seen a 205/50-16 on a civic. Seems too tall. I've never tried 45s, always stuck with 40s. Not for any particular reason, except to keep within diameters I guess. Happy with them.

 

alright thanks for the replys....i guess i could also throw in the what brand does everyone prefer too Im pretty sure Im going with the kumho ecstas....only seen good reviews so far ...and good price.

 

hmm..dont think ive heard of them..new brand?
