Default 5 cylinder

Those 5 cylinders are good motors. I ve known quite a few people that have had them last well over 150,000 miiles. Aside from the expected Honda reliability, I would really like to know if the motor has potential and if so I'm sure it would have been done in Japan by now. If anyone knows any info on these motors help this guy out!

reliable is understating it. these things are bullet proof. a bunch of stuff came out for them in japan, including a whole host of mugen parts (headers and what not).
as far as potential goes, well that depends on your definition of potential. there is virtually no aftermarket for this car in the states, so options are, at best, limited, at worst, shitty. but if by potential you mean dumping mass amounts of money in to the engine and transmission (to the tune of 10 grand) and ending up with a 550 horsepower monster, then sure, it has potential.
