Default auto to manual tranny

I know what parts are needed and basically how to get it done. My question is to those that have done it, what problems did you encounter that made it more difficult than expected? I'm working with a small timetable to get it done....

the year of the car makes a big difference. Some years are tougher than others.

Just get all the hydraulics from the clutch pedal to the slave cylinder. You need the five speed tranny mounts, all of them. Drill holes for shift linkage, do some wiring, ect... not easy but not impossible. Unless you have prior experience on this sort of thing it will be a pain in the ass.

yeah, thats where my problem exists. for one, i'll have no more than a week to complete it(along with the engine swap). Second, my knowledge of how to do this is from what ive heard or seen, not from actually doing it myself. like you said, pain in the ass but not impossible. maybe if i get laid off at work, ill have time on my hands to take a stab at it--- not a good thing to shoot for, but oh well. I just feel weird about paying someone else to do it for me when i want to learn how to do it
