I dont know...I was told again today..put redline tranny fluid in and it should help the grind in 3rd? I need some suggestions...I just got the motor and tranny and now I have to figure out what the fuck to do with this bitch already....I will eventually lose 3rd right? It is a quick short grind into 3rd...nothing long and dreadful sounding...but doesnt grind downshifting from 4th? How much cash am i looking at if i wanted someone to drop the tranny and put in a new 3rd gear?

yea ive pretty much have been skipping 3rd...which sucks ass...what point is there to having a nice new motor with no 3rd gear....this shit sucks...how much would just replacing the synchros cost you think? including labor....and btw...john...do you guys do this at your shop?

sorry to cut in the post, but why are synthetics bad john? i've been running Mobile 1 for 6 years in the accord and havent had any problems yet. if they are bad i would defanately like to stop using synthetics but i've been told that once you go synthetic you cant go back to regular oil.

This is the internet. You're just supposed to talk up whatever you do know as if you're a salesman for it. i.e. I drive a Supra and a Corolla therefore 2JZ is the greatest and so is the 4A and I don't care about anything else because it's all crap since I don't have it. I also have a stack of $20 bills in front of me, therefore 20>50 and 20>100 and 20>1000. $20 bill FTW.

not sure what he feels on synthetic motor oil in the crank case..but i think he was talking about no synthetics in the tranny.
Hopefully i didnt make a mistake when i chose to go synthetic castrol in my motor?
