h22 rods vs. h23 rods

Default h22 rods vs. h23 rods

i want to know the difference is between h22 and h23 rods. and would like to know if they are the same if i can put a h23 crank in a h22 block?

they are different lengths. If you want to put an h23 crank in an h22 block you need h23 rods.

ok i have a prelude type s motor with 11: 1 compression. i am wondering if the piston is going to hit the vavles. will i need to get lower compression pistons, or can i just get i thicker head gasket?

The h23 stroke is longer therfore the h23 rods are shorter. TypeS pistons will still fit within the block desk but the compression ratio will be higher than 11:1 because of the stroke.

do you think i should use stock h23 rods or get after market? if so what kind?

Get Aftermarket H23 rods to use with your H23 crank...Try out the new REV Valves Connecting Rods...They offer a Crower Style Rod and an Eagle Style Rod...ARP Hardware...Ask for Ralph and tell him that Zee refered you...
