LS swap into an EG
Possibly installing a 94 LS nonvtec motor into a 95 EG chassis civic. What all is needed?
The swap comes with LS motor complete with OBDO ecu and harness, cable transmission, and axles. Probably gonna ditch the cable tranny for a B16A hydro tranny. What else is gonna be needed. Am I gonna need an OBD1 ecu or harness? I dont know much about what parts are needed for the swap, but if I had all the parts I dont think it would be a difficult installation. Any help is appreciated.

well, i would assume the ecu the swap comes with is obd1, since its a 94 motor.
if its from a 92,93 then the transmission will be cable, although you can still use this ecu. the fuel curves are not going to be the same as a 94,95 ecu but they will be close. you'll need to get a hydro transmission (cable can be used but the conversion kit is shitty) and you'll need the mounts as well. the wiring si very straight forward and since you don't need to wire vtec everything should plug in. since its been a while since i worked on a 2nd gen integra i can't remember if they use 4 or 5 wire o2 sensors, but i believe its a 4 wire o2 which means everything will plug in. and you'll need b-series axles.
so if you have an obd0 ecu and obd0 harness just use the civic harness and find an obd1 ecu. i don't know what you have, as i'm not looking at the swap, but anything 92-95 is obd1 and will work.

Thanks Chet!
The motor is a 94 motor, but it is sitting in a 92 Integra right now. The owner is not positive about the harness, but he knows it is using an OBD0 ecu. Basically, I will have a full front clip of his integra. His axles are shot, so new axles are needed anyway. So this would be an inventory:
OBD0 ecu
OBD0 harness
b16A Hydro Tranny
94+ integra axles
b16A vtec shift linkage or 94+ gsr shift linkage
94 LS motor w/everything (including mounts)
Is this all the parts I need to complete the swap and have a solid running motor? am I gonna need a b16a tranny mount? Thanks a lot Chet!

sounds like he should be using an obd1 ecu, as its easiest to just plug the 94 motor into the 92 car.
regardless, if you have an obd1 ecu just plug the engine harness into the carside harness and you should be fine.
and your mount should be fine, the only differences with the older integra's is the automatic vs manual transmissions and their mounts. but it sounds like its a 5speed which means everything should be fine.
if i were you, i'd just use the civic's engine harness, make sure you're using an obd1 ecu, and go from there.
