hey i was wondering what would would happen if you had a h23 distributor on a an h22 in a prelude? what would be the issues with vtec not working, timing advance, and knock sensor?

nothing, it is the same distributor. Base timing is set manually by turning the distributor, the ecu works out the rest. I've used h23 distributors on h22's before and when you compare them side by side they are the same.

thanks, it was just someone told me one had an external coil vs internal coil of the stock one or vise versa, im not sure, thanks alot

jdm h22a distributors used internal coils I believe while USDM h22a and h23a used external coils.

just dont put an OBD I dizzy on an OBD II motor without rewiring the TDC and CKP sensors.
