Default DASH SWAP > 90-91 dash into 88-89 CRX Si

i know i cant fit the 90-91 cluster into a 88-89 CRX
but i was wondering if it is possible to swap the whole dash
i am not worried about any harness issues, thas not a problem

COMMENTS ON THE DIFFERENCE IN THE CLUSTERS ANYONE???

hey, match the cluster to the dash u use and it will fit perfect.


anydash will fit., door panels fit to.


88-91 hatch/crx

just houseing over the cluster is differant

the interior on the bottom looks like shit.

the top one is nice and stock and clean.

i dont wanna match the cluster to the dash
i have an 88-89 CRX Si
i want the 90-91 Cluster cause of the round shape compared to the flat sides on the 88-89
as you can see in the pictures

IF U WANT THE OTHER CLUSTER, U MUST USE THE DASH THAT IS THE SAME YR AS THE GAUGE POD

so then a 9091 dash can fit in the 88-89 crx?

The Civic dashes of the same vintage are different than the CRX dashes BTW. You can just do the cluster and cover swap, you will need some different brackets to do so and alot of wiring skill. I've already tried this on a friend's car and deemed it too much of a PITA to attempt again. Good luck with it.

i thought you could just swap the covers and leave your existing cluster in, you said you wanted the rounded one

i am not sure if the round cover can grab to the 88-89 dash since 88-89 did not have a round cover........
and the cluster is slightly smaller i believe
