Well, im replacing my axle on the drivers side of my 94 integra, since the boot split in half somehow. I pretty much have everything ready, and im trying to pry the axle off of the half-shaft, and getting no luck. I know theres a C-clip/clamp on the inside that holds it. I have a feeling i cant get that to break loose, no matter how hard i hit the bottom / pry it. Any tips/help?

Use a rubber mallet or big hammer and bang it out

 

I tried that and it wasn't working out so well. A friend got it out for me today though. Put it on a vice and one hit and it popped right off.
