yes, i have searched for hours and found some good ones but none help with my problem. i need to know where to pin the 2 solenoids on the transmission so my car will shift...


its an auto engine and trans in a 5spd car so it doesn't have the pins for the shift solenoids...and all the diagrams ii have found just say "A18=for A/T" doesn't say what it controls or anything exactly. the tcm should be built into the ecu on po6 ecu's so i just need to know which pin to hook up each solenoid.

like should i hook a solenoid to each of these and which one to which. i always thought both solenoids did the same thing so shouldn't they hook to the same pin on the ecu? i thought all it did was lock up the torque converter when it was time to shift....

 

 

holy shit. thats perfect! your the man. just one question. any idea why it lists 5 transmission solenoids? mine only has 2 that are together on the front of the housing just under the head...

 

I knew you were going to ask that, I had the same question after looking at print. At first I thought it was a shuttle valve utilizing A and B ports but it is not... It is a generic print out of the official manual that covers multiple years and is showing you also how to hookup 92-95, 96-2000 which has 4 solenoids. Yours was hard to find as you know you don't use a TCM but is controlled right from the ECU. Download the official manual and go to section 14 and it will have everything you want and more.

 

i got it! your the fucking man sir....cant thank you enough. i ran the codes and only had code 19 which was solenoid lock up. so i ran my 2 wires to the solenoid lock up pins and its shifting perfectly. still have a cel though. not sure why. maybe it needs to see them working for a few miles?
