crankcase breather box on B18b?

crankcase breather box on B18b?

how come some LS (b18b not b18a) blocks have a breather box on the back of the block and some dont??? was there a certain year that its wasnt on the block or something? just curious. thanks

dave, i think all newer blocks ditched that breather box

my 99 b16a2 block had one. my 95 gsr did and so did the 95 ls

my 00 crv did not have one
