Any Integra gsr guru's on here? starting issues,,,
Hey guys and gals, I have not been on in a few years but i was trying to help a friend with his 96 acura integra and i remembered all of the folks on here that were pretty helpfull the last time i visited.
Any ways. If any7one can point me in a direction,,,
Problem is this: Car has a mildly built B18*** something like that, I have no idea, Header, intake, fuel reg and rail, cams, MSD Ignition, Not sure what else. It runs great once you can get it started. The mornings are a pita and i usually take a good 15 minutes of trying to start it. It cranks fine, Battery is good, I backfires out the intake once in a while.I thought timing was off but after it starts it runs great and will start every time through out the day with maybe 1/2 crank of the motor.
Like i said it is just in the morning after it has sat for about 8 hours or more. He just put a new fuel pump and filter but no change to how it starts.
Any ideas???
TIA,
Kris

Under normal circumstances I would have to agree with the comment that was deleted. I am a american v8 kind of guy. But this car is quite interesting. It has all the same mods to it that I would have done to my own. Granted the same money put into say a 350 chevy would net double the power numbers. This new generation of car enthusiasts is just useing what the oem's are giveing them to work with. Cool car never the less. Pretty quick too for a 4 banger.
