i have a d16y5 with d16y8 and i am having a maor problem. the car starts up fine. it idles a little high, but it goes down after a while. the problem that i am having is that when i press the gas, the car shuts off. it sounds like a vaccum leak to me, but i was told it could be the ecu. the motor stil has the purge control valve. can i eliminate it? if so how? i need the car running soon, so any help would be great. thanks

check that your tps and map sensor wires aren't backwards.
