Hello , got a few probs with this car I just got a few weeks ago from a friend. I have already fixed a bunch of stuff but still more stuff to do. For one, can't get any heat. I figured the thermostat was bad so I pulled it and found it was broken, put a new one in but it didn't make any difference. I looked and heater hoses are attatched to the firewall so the core must be getting water. Theres some kinda wierd fuse box under hood and one says heater but I really don't know how to check it because it s some big funny fuse you have to unscrew to get out.

Next I don't think the aux cooling fan is working. After I changed the stat and had it running for like 25 minutes and was at operating temp, the main fan never came on, and even when I put the A/C on the other one never came on.

Also, anyone maybe have an idea about why the battery dummy light would stay on al the time? Battery is fine and car has been starting and running like normal for months.

 

heat is probably the temp control, either the cable is broken or the valve in the heater hose is stuck closed.
