this exact thing happened to me last year on the way to IFO in my ls/v hatch...Same symptoms & it ended up being Bad gas From the gas station i stopped at in the boonies...Also why i only fill up at selective gas stations now.

I changed coils and same shit. The car drives fine even under mild acceleration. If it was gas related don't u think it would happen more often. And I only use bp 93. It only happens under full throttle and a little after vtec cross's over at 4k

UPDATE. When I first got car compression check was 195-190-190-200 and now after this incident it is 195-190-150-200. I dropped a little oil in cylinder to see weather it was a valve or ring and If it were rings the oil would seal them and the compression would spike but if it was a valve then the oil would escape and compression would stay the same. Well the compression did not move.....What u guys think? Bent valve? Seal? There is not ticking, knocking, tocking. Anything motor is silent......
