IT could be your mainshaft bearing in your tranny?

Sell your car now, while it runs...

You may need new bearings for the trans. And a new throw out bearing.

Maybe not.. but it will have to be pulled again. I would check it and see, the bearings may not be shot, it may only be the throw out bearing.


Does it ever stop? Give me more details on what happens and when...

does it stop when you push in the clutch?
the throw out bearing is cake to swap out, once you drop the tranny.
and the input shaft bearing isn't too bad from what I've heard.

like they said it might not be the bearing at all, few weeks ago i was going thru the same shit, horrible grating/metal squealing sound when the pedal was down. so i changed the t/o bearing and put it back together. start it up and the niose was still there. drove it out of necessity for work (pizza delivery), till it would not shift anymore, replaced the clutch cause those little springs were SHOT, one came out when the inspection cover came off.
