tip on preventing front lip from being stolen
found this on another forum, i had a freind that had his stolen so i figured i share it with you guys and girls especialy if you have a carbon fiber lip.
note this is for a civic lip not sure if it works with tegs
7 out of 9 of the clips that are on the bumper can be utilized the opposite way so you can only screw it and unscrew the lip if you take off the bumper.. so here's the instructions.. pics will come later.. too busy now
Tools: common screwdrivers phillips, rachet for the bolts or whatever honda oem gives you (i didn't have any so i use home depot bolts)
parts: stainless steel washers, about 3/4 to 1 inch in diameter that fits in those 9 bolts on the bottom of the lip. get 7 only
.........................
take off bumper..
take off lip, all screws and bolts and whatever else
use pliers and pull out those clips that are on the bumper... pull ALL EXCEPT the ones that are for those metal brackets on the lip.. so pull 7 of 9 (7 of 9?? star trek voyager? j/k)
now, INVERT the clips and clip them on the lip plastic part .... so now instead you will screw downwards instead of upwards.... so clip them to the plastic stubby things on the lip.. make sure it's fully in, and centered.. you can squezze the clips to make it fit tighter..
now put the lip on the bumper.... and get your washers and put them on the 7 of 9 bolts.... then bolt it on from UNDERNETH... so the bolts cannot be accessed from under and outside...
and of course bolt the 2 that are left for the metal bracket the usually way...
now put the bumper back and TADA..!!! you got yourself a way more secure lip than what honda intended to do!! theives now will look at say "what the fuck? now we can't steal it!!

You could also go to the hardware store (or in my case, my bolts bin) and get some torx tipped screws. It looks stupid, but I have my amplifier in my car screwed down to the sheetmetal floor with 2 torx, a phillips and a box bolt (hard to find bit). If someone wants it, they are gonna have to work for it.

Something tells me that's a pretty good idea for parking at USF.
