5th gear popping out

5th gear popping out
hey all. i just did a b18c swap into an ek civic. drove it for about 400 miles, and now the 5th gear is popping out. right after i shift into 5th gear, it throws the stick back to neutral. anyone knows what the problem might be?? maybe shift-linkage, maybe something internal. any info would be appreciated. thanks.

it is your syncros... i had this problem... then the tranny desided that it no longer wanted to be in my hatch and it spit out all the oil and fucked itself in the ass (ground 3rd and 4th) the tranny was toast!!! check your seals and fluid... it WILL break so dont go on a road trip like i did...

sup guys, thank you for your replies. cali and quicksilver ek, you were right. added fluid, now the tranny is as good as new. thank you thank you thank you. croncbrun, thanks, but in the question i mentioned the b18c swap. the motor and tranny are both integra gsr. but thanks anyway, just pay a little more attention to detail.

I never lost attention durring this post. I was simply refering to _my_ trannies when they died. Throwing out of gear is a common symptom that I've encountered with blown ass synchro's. It's NOT dependant on what kind of tranny you have. Im glad you were just out of fluid. Get your tranny checked for damage.
