headers, or cams?
ok, 99si...... aem intake and tanabe racing medalian exhaust... whats next,.??? i know a header will clean up my act, but there is no true order of steps to take with minimal power..(bolt ons..) so should i go cams next ,? or shoot for the header.. and if cams. which ones???? thanx.

i've seen a couple all motor b16 si's that run low mid-low 14's they have i/h/e stage 1 cam's(toda a, skunk1, with the valvesprings, etc) and both went obd-1. they run good but one now has a b20 bottom, and the other nos so if you want to go fast n/a all you need is a new bottom end.
back to your question i'd do the header first(itr4-1, jdm 4-1) cause if you do cam's you will need to do the valvetrain to and that means taking you head off so get a jdm header for around 300 or spend a grand on the head i will tell you if you can afford the cam's, valvetai do that first then get a header.

If you get cams, the exhaust gases can't evacuate quick enough, thus making the cam gains nowhere near expected.

get a header first, like Joe said, if you got cams, they wouldnt be able to breath with out a header.. i wouldnt get a 4-1 header though, stick with a 4-2-1 since you cant aford to lose any torgue with the torgueless B16

thanx guys....... im really trying to stay all motor for now.. internals completely, then turbo. no question. for now id be happy breaking the 13's with all motor... i realize i have my work cut out for me but i have confidence in collin, over at racing integration.... if you really want me to make you laugh... im going to try to do it with full interior. (minus the spare tire.
