Default Car wont start..

Well I think its my starter. I use to be able to turn the key and it starts up right away. A couple of days ago I started the car up and it wouldnt start up it would hessitate to start. I replaced the battery with a brand new one. It needed on anyways. It still didnt start. Then i jumped the car and it started up fine. I shut the car down 3 times just to see if it would start on its own. It did fine for a the whole day. Well I get up one morning to start the car up. It turn the key and i her this loud click. Nothing is comming on I have no headlights comming on or nothing. No power etc.. nothing at all. Does anyone know any things that could be wrong or ask me more questons of why its not starting aim civicracer901. please i need help with this right away. Also I need to know will the starter be the cause for not having power. The battery is brand new and tested fine.

Make sure batt. cables are tight &
ground cables are tight
also check the cable on starter(for tightness)
Does batt. light come on when car is running(the light on cluster/dash)
if so could be alternator
