Default To roll fenders or not

So I've been playing with different tire sizes on my 13x5.5 wheels. I want to stay with 175 70 13. Will I need to roll the fenders to get the low I want?

Most 13" wheels don't require fender rolling unless you drop the car.

How low are you going? What does it look like if the tires were turned fully to
one side. How much space is there between tire and fender? Same as
the amount that you want to drop the car?-Bob

I'm want to have between a 3.5 to 4 inch clearance at the front bumper. My plan is to still be able to have passengers without losing my muffler, oil pan... etc. I'll have to turn the tires and look. My setup is lowered on coilovers, got about 1" of tire gap and about 1 more inch of adjustment available on the coilovers. Looks like the tires are gonna touch the fender if I go over a bump, if I go the extra inch.

Good point.
Tampa speed bumps are worse in some places than others and the speed bumps will grab an oil pan or muffler if it's not lined up where the wheels are. The wheels carry the car over the bump unless you hit it hard. In the high dollar 'hoods the $3,500 (Tampa Tribune) bumps are longer than a Buick and a Jaguar rolls right over....LOL
In Hispanic heighborhoods, Wellswood, Town/Country, etc. The speed bumps are brutal!

Going straight, the tires might clear the fender lip. In a corner with the wheels already turned,
body lean will sometimes get the tires into the fender lips. Heavier anti-sway bars keep the car
from leaning. More suspension articles are in my shop forum or under chassis/suspension tech.-Bob

seriously you just need to stop posting in EVERY SINGLE tech post with your useless info....regardless of a "heavier" anti sway bar...if the tires are tucking into the fender they will rub on turns.

this is why you "street lowering with your own stock springs" cutting or heating springs its UNSAFE AND STUPID.

Thanks for your opinion.
The subject of this thread was rolling fenders.
If you are now talking about items in my signature, you can read suspension
articles in my shop forum and in the chassis and suspension forum.

The secret of modifying stock springs for street lowering is to do careful measuring
and understanding how the suspension works before you do anything else.
I am the only one on TR who knows how to carefully measure and then modify
stock springs.

I have no complaints from the people who I have done work for.-Bob

Kids...don't make me pull this thread over!!! I think I'll go another half inch lower and see if I rub. Then make small adjustments from there.
