Just want to post and deter anyone from buying a stolen car or stolen car parts. This vehicle was stolen from my home between 12am-5am 18 July 2011. I have all the documents that prove im the owner.

Car: 95' Acura Integra GSR BLK 2dr hatch/faded paint on the hood,sun roof, trunk, heavy
rust that has been spray painted black on rear quater panel where back bumper meets

The St Pete police dept. has been notified so if anyone see these parts/car for sale i highly recommend making sure the parts/car are not stolen

uummm..... they've been in st pete... for a really long time now.
don't remember a few years ago they stole something stupid like 250 cars in less than 60 days?
stolen cars in st. pete is as big of a deal as some drugs are.
most of the tampa theives come from st. pete. we would get at least 2-3 stolen cars a week at the junkyard in south st. pete when I worked there years ago.
So it isn't anything new in St. Pete.

the best and only thing you can do to stop thieves is to A) make it a bit more of a pain to get you car with a good alarm system. It won't stop them, but if given the choice between two cars one with and one without an alarm, the one without is an easier swipe. B) make sure your alarm has a pager system so that if the car moves you'll find out now rather than a few hours later when walk out and see it gone. C) get a system like lo jack so you can immediately report it stolen, get the gps activated, and hopefully retrieve it before it gets chopped and boxed.
Beyond that, have good insurance so you can replace it when it does get stolen.
If a thief wants it, there isn't anything you can do to stop them from getting it, all you can do it attempt to get it back as soon as possible. The best revenge is getting busted red handed.

I almost never hear of any local cars getting stolen, my buddy's coupe got stolen but he's like right on the 4th st gandy line so might as well be tampa...other than that thats prolly one of very few st.pete cars iv heard of getting stolen.

Sucks everyone shit it getting stollen. But if I was you I would and u saw it going down, might just want to fire a few shots into the gound. Bet he will run away real fast. If he trys to pull out something, fire away.

Going to jail for killing someone just because you saw him trying to take your car would suck. Really only supose to use a gun if there is no other means of getting out of a sticky situation and your life is threatened.

So before you call the cops, make sure to lay a gun right beside him LOL
