I was pulling out of my apartment today in my 03 accord v6 and hit a puddle at about 10mph. Needless to say car stalled out and will not start again. checked the intake to make sure i didnt suck water into the motor and the intake is bone dry and no water in the oil. but when i try to start it no clicks no hum from the starter nothing. any ideas?

the ground on the strater may have come lose off the chasis

starters dont have a ground wire..

Probably just a loose ground. Are any of the lights lighting up when key is just in on position? If so then pull the plugs and check them, check dizzy, then move to any bare wires and check starter. You could always test the dizzy by pulling off the plug wire and grounding them out to see if spark is reaching your plugs.

when i try to start the car all power and light come on in accessory mode but when i turn the key to engage starter inturment panel goes dark and flickers. no clicking from the solenoid or anything. i was thinking the motor might be hydrolocked but if that was the case the starter would still attempt to engage. its got me stumped.

Thats a most likely a bad ground. Loosen take ground wire off of the Battery and loosen, clean and properly retighten all of your grounds. Ive had this problem before

well biggest problem is i took the heads off today and my worst fear came true. i hydrolocked cylinder 1. so its time for a new motor.
