VTec gets cold??

Default VTec gets cold??

Hey just wanted to know... whenver I go into Vtec my motor temp. goes down once i let off the temp. goes back up any sugg.?

motor is poormans type r
99 gsr block and tranny
99 b16 type r head

How much does it drop? and is it only when VTEC is engaged? Does it return immediatly back up as soon as vtec disengages?

i goes down almost to C and when i let off it goes right back up to normal running temp.

Sounds like a gauge or sensor issue. Its not actually getting cold. Ur gauge is just not reading properly during vtec. Impossible for an engine to cool that fast anyway. Try changing the temp sensor and see if fixes ur problem
