Default 89 civic brake problems/// stiff brakes!!

I got an 89 civic hatch, whenever my car is cold/first start it, everyting is perfect. After 10 minutes of driving the brakes start locking up slowly until they are completely locked-up, the brake pedal gets completely stiff. ZERO play. After letting it cool down it works again until the car gets hot again... then the same problem. It happens every time. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I was reading on Proportioning valves.. but i dont think they made those for EF's... thanx

The most likely cause of your problem is the brakes are "dragging". Easist way to fix this is backing off the brake light switch from the pedal.
Disconnect the brake light switch connector, loosen the locknut, unscrew the switch a turn or two, tighten the locknut and reconnect the harness. Sometime when people do strange/stupid repairs to fix brake light staying on problem, they cause the adjustment to be off from normal.

Sometimes the brake pedal clevis adjustment will do the same thing.
........if a person changed out the booster, the reservoir/master cylinder, etc.

What was the last thing you did with your brakes before the problem showed up?-Bob

nothing... i changed out the pedals.. it was an automatic.. and i swapped it to 5 speed.. so i had to switch out the pedals.. but thats all i touched as far as the brake system.. i mean i took the cv joints of so i had to disassemble the brakes to do that.. but nothing serious.. let me know what you think
