Default 96 civic hatchie drum brakes converted to disc brakes ?Quest.

ok, i picked up a set of rear disc brake assambly off a 96 teg, to do drums to disc on my hatch. i disassembled all of it to start the process of sand blast, powder coat, replace hub bearings, bushings, rotors, and pads. but i noticed there was a abs sensor (i think) on the back of the assembly... but i guess it was clipped. but i have the e-brake cable thou... but anyhow my ? is do i need that abs sensor thingy majiggy????LOL<~~~~~~~~~~ idk can some1 help me on this.................and what would be the conz if i dont have it.......????? thankz for looking

Wheel speed sensor for abs. Your car does not have abs therefor you dont need to do anything with it.

I believe you will need a different proportioning valve also

whats a proportion valve and purpose??? where can i get one of those?? ebay idk....?? let me kno what i should look for..... thanks for the help ppls......

Yeah I'm not sure which one he will need. I'm using a 40/40 on my hatch, but I have heard the ek brakes end up sucking if you convert the rear with out changing the proportioning valve.

The proportioning valve basically supplies different pressures for the front and rear brake systems.

If you look on hondatech all you will find is people telling other people they aren't using the correct one, pr if you make a thread about it some douche will get his panties in a bunch and tell you to use the search feature instead of just helping you. Lol
