What up TR. I have an 08 civic ex, and im looking to drop it anywhere from 1.5 - 2 ''. i have a nice chunk of change in the bank and im torn between springs, and coilovers. I know coilovers are a better investment, but im told i would most likely need a camber kit as well if i go the coilover route. I have a friend who got skunk2 springs( stock everything else ) and that friend was told by the honda dealer that with just springs a camber kit was not required. I do use this car as a daily, and dont want to pay $500+ in tires every month or so, so i need some help on which is better to go with vs. durability with a dd. I will take any comments at this point, i just dont want to waste money before i do my research. post here or preferd send me a p'm with all info ...

No matter what route you go if you lower your car that much you will need a camber kit regardless. You could do a eibach sportline spring which has a smaller drop but it will still effect the angles of your alignment.

 

Well if its just a DD car, I would not go coilovers, and depending on the drop,you dont always need a camber kit. I used Tein S-Techs a while back, and for how cheap/ride quality was it was nice,it wont "slam" your car,but it will have a lil more of a aggressive stance. Use the extra money you would on coil overs on other components i.e after market shocks, ss brake lines,rotors/pads ect ect.

If you don't want to get an alignment, and don't want to get into the nitty gritty of suspension specs, don't modify your suspension.
