I dont think they seated the valves properly and I know that there is oil burning somewhere but I am trying to find out where.... Can anyone tell me how many times to let the engine turn over when doing a compression test

usually 7 or 8 turn overs will get it to the max.

Well now that makes me feel better cause I only let it turn over twice and it read 200 so if I let it turn until it stops then I should expect 280 or something round that I am going to check it out today see if I that is right.

I did my compression test today here it is 260-250-250-260 the car wont idle for shit and there is still oil in the combustion chamber I am going to have a fit 
I think that the cam timing may be off. and the valve guide seals is where the oil is coming from. any other suggestions???

Get a valve job, and set your timing correctly.
Aprx. cost? 300 bucks total. May I also suggest while you have the head in the shop, give it a decent port & pollish? Ive been _told_ of 40hp gains from just that alone on SOHC honda's.
(Ramsey's in Tampa). They also take a week to do it. *Shrug* - Most shops however, only take a day.

I have a ported head I need to get it polished a guy did it for me he did his head and his car runs pretty good its a 1600 head that has been shaved so it will raise my compression a little. I am going to use a civic intake manifold until I get enough money and put on a itr manifold with an oversized throttle body.
