i have a 97 ek hatchback with a d16y7, trying to find out why the coolant is being pushed out of the res.. i started with the thermostat and hoses. radiator cap, i even did the head gasket and all seals. head was machined and all new internals. and still the same issue. if you have any idea whats going on let me know.

 

Is the radiator fan coming on?

 

yeah everything works good

 

When the car is cool, take the cap off and run car with heater on about 20 mins and keep topping off radiator as air bubbles come out of top of radiator.I think you might have air still in system.

 

That and also bleed the 12mm bleeder at the thermostat housing after pressure builds up with the cap on

 

thats one of the first things i tried and it blew all the fluid out

 

ill try that the 12mm bleeder bolt

 

What does your oil look like? Is it milky in valve cover?
