Default Question about short shifter!

Just curious but will a short shifter screw up my transmossion in any way, mainly my synchros? I just put one on my 2000 gs-r and want to know before I go messing my tranny up.

Thanks

Tried one out for the first time this weekend....was very nice compared to stock....made the shifts quicker and more accurate....I liked it.

Not long at all....unless you are putting in bushings....that takes longer.
