Default CRX Motor Swap Q's

What is all needed to complete a D16Z motorswap into an 88 CRX HF? I have a complete 95 Del Sol Si front clip. (OBD 1) Is it a simple bolt in procedure or is there some special wiring involved? What axles, etc will I need to use? TIA

The motor coming out of the sol is already modified and runs perfectly, so I want to keep it. Thanks for your idea though.

you use the delsol.......... block,head,intake,header,clutch,flywheel
and use the crx ..........tranny ,cvs, injecters, mounts, wiring,(get a si ecu and map senser)
AND THEN IT BOLTS/WIRES RIGHT IN LIKE IT GREW THERE
ps several options for dizzy

What about using the Del Sol's tranny and/or axles? I would like to use as much as the Del Sol componants as I can. Taking the wiring harness out and switching ECU's isnt a big deal at all. If there is wiring involved that isnt a big deal either. I am just looking at how I can do it with what I got with as little purchasing extra parts as possible. Can it be done with the Del Sol's tranny with getting custom shiza?

the delSol tranny is hydraulic and will not work. your best bet would be to find a crxsi tranny. the hf tranny will work, but has looser gears. unless youre trying to squeese all the power out of this motor, leave the hf tranny. If you REALLY want to do it the right way, get a set of mounts from HAsport, they will work on the SOHC, then later on a DOHC if you choose. If you have a little time, money, and patience, I'd convert the crx to obd1 using the Sol harness. it should be a good swap if you read around, and pick up a helms for both the sol and the crx, they're such a great wealth of information.
