boost + stock d-series bottom end equals broken rods.

like eric said, save for a b-series motor, they're stronger and more reliable.

Right now im not going to run that much boost. 7-10psi.
Once I bring up a good amount of block stability (Rods+sleeve+girdle) Then I'll bring the boost near 20.
Should be easily in the 12's.
Hey man more power to you, I think you should rock it...different is good

that is a dyno plot of a turbo 89 integra

only thing done to the bottom end are arias pistons and shotpeened factory rods.

the question is which D16 rod are you gonna use?

Not really, bad tunning + boosted = broken rods, thier are alot of people running 10 psi on stock bottom end d series with no problems.

With the right parts a boosted D-series motor can be pretty rugged. The great part about it though is you can pick up parts, hell a whole damned engine for under $500. Don't see that happening with B-series do ya?

As for the overbore, .02 isn't anything more than a cylinder cleanup so I wouldn't worry.
