valve to piston clearance....
a situation came up with my head. It has been resurfaced .010 when i recived it. Now i found a little "scar" close to the cumbustion area, the way to fix this problem is to have it resurfaced again .010. Now this will put the head at -.020 from stock. My question is, will .020 be to much on the B16a motor with the factory head gasket while running your Spec B cams? Will i have valve to piston clearance issues? Thanx

well though i have no personal experince with b specs, i have done alot of research on alot of differnt cam set ups!! i belive that drop in toda bs will not make you happy, these cams need high compression, alot of tuning, and because of aggresive primary lobe design they dont allow perfect factory idol!! With more aggresive ramp designs and higher lift comes the issue that there is alot more stress placed on the valve train! so i would recomend atleast "power ind." timing belt or the new toda belt!! i belive with street setup/ drag set up you will enjoy either skunk stage 1s, toda a specs, or jun type 2's!! these are better drop in cams for lower compression, and have better reliablity!! good luck though, eric
Well if you are worried just install the cams and do a clay check for clearances. If it checks out you're good to go, if not sell the cams or sell your head and be glad you didn't grenade your motor.
