Default please help b16 turbo b18c1 turbo

Heres my perdiciment i have a gsr civic coupe that i bought with the intensions of building into a 500 hp turbo monster. but i got to thinking why not build the b16 i have sitting in the garage while driving my gsr civic without any down time o heres my question can i make 500 hp just as easy and reliable as my gsr motor. by the way money is not an option in this case i mean obviously the gsr is bigger but what benefits woukd i have in building the gsr over the b16?

also if any one has any ideas for my build let me know. ill share the progress with everyone my goal is to run low 11's on the track and low 12's on the street not a hard feet i dont think.

Well the B16 does like turbo but it is the Tq'less wonder! Your best bet is to take that B16 head you have there and put it on top of the GSR block. You now have a poor mans type-R. The B16 head flows very well with out much work! Now, you turbo that and BAM!!! Either way you will need to build it!

Both motors are great and will do well with a turbo. As far as getting 500 hp goes, that will be up to the turbo you get and the stuff you use to get it there. Either one can do it!

swap the b16 in and drive it around and build the gsr. 500 is very simple with the right parts on a b18.

Well I love my turbo B16 and it isn't torqueless. Just get the B16 sleeved to 84mm and it'll give you alittle more torque. If you have a gsr transmission I'd keep that for your turbo build.(Don't use an LS) Your 1/4 mile times should be easy with the proper care in building and choice of tuner. My B16 runs high tens with full interior so there not that bad of motors. The one advantage I'd say to starting with a B18 block is it would make a little more power then a B16 would if all else was the same "mod wise". For your goals however a B16 would work fine and give you less traction porblems on the road which mean more street wins.

I think you should get the b16 head and slap it on the gsr block and just a lil work done to both head and block and then turbo it you should reach your goal with no problem and if you want to recuperate some money you can sell me the gsr head lol no but serious you can sell me the head
