Default B18C1 into EG civic problems...

So i did the swap, found a motor and all that jazz. I have now a b18c1 in my eg with a type r tranny and act stage two clutch. The motor is all stock, and i have a virgin p72 ecu (obd1).
First, the butterfly isnt opening. I know its because i didnt do the wiring. Im not worried, im going skunk2.
Second, when i accelerate, it feels hesitant. Its weird. I can feel vtec engage, but its really hesitant to that point. I know for a fact my vacuum hoses are all fucked up, but i cant find a good diagram online, and the one i did find is pretty vague, im having a hard time fiquring it out.
Compression test was good, 200 across the board with 5 psi variance at the most. I did valve lash the other day to the tee, did it correctly too. Im lost.
I dont know hy its doing this, but its bothering the shit out of me.
Oh, and the tach jumps around at about 3000 rpm's.
Does anyone have any idea what may be wrong with it? Ive fucked with it until im blue in the face, and i need some guidance.
Thanks, and rep for help...
Kyle

tach jumping around could be the ICM in the distributor and could be contributing to ur hesitant acceleration as well.
