Can I use a MT Ecu in an auto civic?
My dad's 93 civic dx had the ECU go out, so I ordered him another one from someone on a forum and naturally they sent him one for a manual tranny instead. He tried it and said it starts right up but doesn't shift out of park unless he "forces it with a screwdriver". How bad of an idea is this? Should he expect any problems? It's still a P06 just an A02 instead of A51. Thanks
Buy the right ECU.
Easy to convert from AUTO to MANUAL, not easy to convert MANUAL to Auto as you are missing components on the board. Looks like 2 transistors +. Picture is just for a refrence

nice pics for reference! just find a auto ecu. they go for dirt. easy to unplug an ecu and put a new one in than shifting with a screwdriver.
