stripped spark plug threads
The spark plug threads in the head of my D15B7 are pretty much stripped. Getting the plug out was a PITA and it took some effort to get it back in. I want to pull it again and repair, it but I'm not sure how. Local shops have quoted me atleast $200 with the head on the car. And pulling the head is a no go.
I've read not to heli-coil it and to time-sert it instead. What's the better/best option?
Good method as to not drop a bunch of metal shavings in the cylinder?

Take the head off. The time sert kit will cost you more than bringing it to a machine shop. If you can't do it yourself its probably cheaper to just replace the head. I'd just use the helicoil & not take the spark plug back out again.

replace the head like they said...you cant helicoil it or you will risk it melting or even falling down in the head when you change the plugs..you can retap it but not with the head on or else the shaveings will fall down in there..so no matter what you gotta take the head off

replace the head.
the time-sert will work but you have to pull the head to do that.
i have done quite a few oil pans that way. time-sert is just hondas recommended version of the helicoil,

the head is aluminum..... buy 3 new plugs. install each plug only once then removed it and throw it away. do the same with the other 2 new plugs and ur thread should be fixed. i just did this on a k-series swap and it worked fine..
oh and dont forget to put anti seize on it while ur doing it

I`ve done inserts with head on by putting grease on the end of the tap so it catch`s the shavings,worked for me several times.... And flush out the hole with break cleaner and compressed air ......But wouldn`t recommend it as your first time....Just buy a used head and be done with it like others have said...
Next time you install your plugs put a small dab of never seize on the threads....
