Default I shall call this my dumb question thread......expect to be updated regualarly

I will be the first to admit I am pretty much clueless when it comes to working on my Integra. I need a damn translator to decrypt all the acronyms used to describe mods and such.

I've got my front bumper swap lined up, hoping I win the bid on the one with fog lights already.

But for the dumb questions......

I've read that the 94-97 LS has the same length as the 00-01 GSR and has the same position for the o2 sensor.

So can a 97-01 Type R or 00-01 GSR header work on an LS? Same for the exhaust, well test pipes?

The type R will fit, but the GSR has a different bolt pattern. 4-2-1 with a 2.5" collector will be best option since you're not going to be making power past 5k. The back pressure is important for low-end gains. There is an excellent article on team integra about header choice, back pressure and the importance of economizing exhaust scavenging.

Edit* Here is the link to the main article page. Lots of good info here. http://www.team-integra.net/sections...les.asp?Show=1

Yeah, I didn't read your post so well. Maybe someone with more expertise can chime in here.

Not my first Honda, but the first I've worked on. Had an old CRX when I was in the Army and bought a lemon Accord a few years ago.

Whole new world vs. old V8's and trucks.
