Pull distibutor back off and spin taper gear and make sure rotor spins. If yes put srew back in and reinstall lining up taper to camshaft( only goes in one way) and try it again making sure rotor turns

Pulled the distributor and spun the back side, it moved the rotor, spun the rotor, it moved the back side...

So what does this mean... TO me it means something is broken lol, but really can something inside the distributor fail not allowing the rotor to spin. Doesn't make sense. Dizzy out, rotor spins by moving the taper, spinn rotor taper spins. Crank car, cams move crank move so should the rotor.

So is this meaning new coil? or is something larger at work?

I cant find a breakdown but looks like straight shaft with a couple of bearings. We both know will never start unless rotor turns...lol You need a dizzy!

Alright just didn't make sense that the shit spins but the rotor doesn't when the dizzy is connected. Will get a new dizzy, Advance is good with returns if that isn't the case LOL.

Just seems to weird. Reading and reading only says rotor don't move = internals wrong, not dizzy : ( What in the Dizzy can stop the rotor from moving when the engine is turning???

is the intake cam broken?????.......kinda what it sounds like to me........ crank with dizzy off head......have someone crank it for you and see if the cam is rotating.......

Belt teeth were missing on one side. Once I pulled the cover and hand cranked I watched it slip. : ( So everything looks and felt good but no teeth!!!
