Usually it chews off your necklace or shirt if you are working on the car while is running. The moral of the story is either
#1 cover the damn cam gears and don't leave them exposed.
#2 dont' work on the car while is running.

some kid I know put his hand near the sprocket of his ZX-7R while trying to get the chain back on. Only problem was, he had the bike running and in gear! Ended up losing the top half of 3 fingers...
