Default ATS 4.7 FD vs MFactory LSD

Build: D16Z6 Vitara build (~9:1 comp). I/H/E, will be boosted later (GT30, 300whp)

What would be a better spend of the money, going into a Si w/HF 5th, since they are about the same cost? Tranny will probably be built by Aquafina or Mista Bone.

I have a trans i bought from aquafina. It has a quaife lsd with m factory 1st gear and 4.5 final. I have yet to use it tho. I like m factory parts. I would also never use a 4.7 on my 300whp d for street use, just too short, not enough fun

ps, i waited over 4 months for my trans from him.

Buy the parts you need and contact "cxcivic" on the forum

I had Aquafina build my trans too. Took a long time to receive it as well.
1.083 1st gear
MFactory LSD
Mfactory 4.9 final drive

It's not bad to drive around, spins 3600 at 70mph with my street tires. But it's probably too short for most people. I had the trans built to trap around 116 at 7600 in 4th gear because that's all I want from my car.

I'd go with Bone next time, because he seems to be much quicker in his turnaround time.

For your question, I would definately get an LSD before a shorter final drive.

LSD>FD. And for trans. work, I reccomend Neal (cxcivic), or Collin at Racing Integration. Neal built the transmission I currently have in my car and it's been great to me...

I've heard of the Auqafina thing, but he's closer than Bone and sandblasts the case. And sells MFactory stuff.

Thanks for the replies.

Mine is still sitting here, not as clean as his pics show. I had to take work off with plans of driving to TN. After 6 months.
