Default boost on my 10.8:1 CR???

i have a ls/vtec with u.s type r pistons
i am wanting to get into turbos a little, and thought i would start small with like a complete starion or eclipse setup. since my cr is so high i was wondering what issues that causes?
or should i not even bother attempting a turbo on this setup. i dont want to run above 7psi. more like 5
i will be gettin hondata, if i go with any amount of boost. so figure that into the equation
i plan to run the small turbo setup for a while, fry my motor and rebuild it with lower cr pistons.
i just want to get the gist of how all this shit works, before i go droppin mad money on pistons and giant intercoolers/turbos

all help is appreciated.
with a high CR will that help the turbo to spool faster??

with hondata, and assuming i dont get boost happy, i should be ok.
if i dont have a boost controller, how much is a stock say eclipse turbo gunna put out. im lookin for 5-7psi.

if i get a boost controller, whats the lowest amount of boost i could run?
then i could just jack it up when i want to run someone.

the smallest turbo id go with is a straight T3. anything else will run out of breath at over like 5-6psi at high rpms. as long as you ignition timing is retared enough and u got plenty of fuel you shouldnt have any problems at all from your compression. you can only boost as low as your wastegate is set, doesnt matter whether you have a boost controller or not.

higher compression will make your turbo spool only a little bit faster but not much. the only thing that spools the turbo is exhaust gas, the more you push out, the faster the turbo spins.

I/C piping will be anywhere from 200-400 bucks. youll need some steel braided lines, a bunch of fittings ,lines, and clamps, and your oil pan tapped. u can find a missing link check valve for like 30-40 bucks. the 290 cc injector will work fine, until u get hondata where u sill need at least 440cc injectors. and high flow fuel pump would definitely help, and for hondata u also need a 1:1 adjstable FPR and i think a 3 bar map sensor. i think that about covers it. you wont need hondata if u only plan on running 6psi.
