take a B20B and give it a real intake manifold right?

manifold isnt teh reason most prefer teh Z it also has a knock censer,which is better if youy are goin b20\vtec

yup, the differance in hp is not in the block
its in the cams/ecu

i knew the z has more hp, but the B has good tourqe and i can find it easier. Since it'd be built anyway, the components that make the stock hp diff don't matter to me.

honda motors are all about cams and ecus.

Derek I told you the difference the Z has more comp so it has alittle more hp. Im pretty sure that the Z only can in the 2 last years of the crv and the B motor was before which = more cheaper. The only down fall on those motors are the intake man so change that out and you have a very nice running motor. The tq is what makes that motor but put a vtec head on and the hp owns all.

i have a 00 z block with 33k miles.
just missing a crank for 550$

but any TEG LS, or crv crank will work,
im using the 00 crank in my 93 ls block
they have the same stroke
