killswitch help

Default killswitch help

i had a killswitch on my starter..i had a friend who tried to change my starter but the one i bought didnt work so we left it un wired....how do I rewire it to crank the starter. If anyone knows how i can bring the car by for yu to look at.

really nobody knows how...its already hooked up but i need to have the starter wired into the equation...

Are you trying to install a kill switch w/ your new starter?

Default

put your switch between the power or ground wire so that you can disconnect (switch off) and connect (switch on) the circuit anytime you want.

its already been setup...but idk which of the wires on the starter is the power to kno where to splice in the switch....i kno ikno...we all gotta start somewhere..wiring is not my forte.

There are only two wires going to the starter. The larger wire is power directly from the battery and some people have a kill switch that disconnects this wire from battery. It is a huge switch and cant be missed it will be under the hood. The other way is to trace out the small solenoid wire which could be cut and a switch added in series. Trace it out and remove switch and remake original wires.

first of all asking how to do the kill switch on a public forum probably isn't the best idea, second a kill switch on ur starter is useless as someone can just push start ur car or hard wire the starter. if you want a real kill switch shared_pm me.
