I did my first coolant flush today and followed the helms manuel. I drained the coolant, flushed the system with a hose and filled the radiator back up with coolant. Then, I started my car to let it warm up with the radiator cap off, the heater all the way up. I had it running for 10 min and the fans wouldnt come on. What am I doing worng here??

That's what I did and after about a minute the coolant was overflowing out of the filler neck on the radiator. The coolant started rising and boiling....I tried it several times with a break between and everytime it ended up overflowing before the fans even had a chance to come on.
Could it be doing this because I didn't drain the block??

When I do it...I add the flush...run engine, turn off engine....drain radiator, flush with water.
Close the drain plug, fill er up about half way or so....run the car.....add coolant as necessary. ( proper mixture of course)
cali
Also: is ur thermostat opeing up? Why would coolant be runing out>

There's a drain bolt on the block you are suppose to drain also. My coolant isn't running out, it's overflowing out of the top of the radiator.
I think what I thought wa sboiling coolant was just air trying to escape, I'm going to empty out the radiator some then try it again.
