I have a 90 EF Hatch and i bought the car 2 days ago.........i cant figure out why the brake lights work but the tail,turn signals and reverse lights dont work.......my head lights and turn signals on the front work .......

 

look at the dash fuse box #1 fuse 10 amp I think it is blown try that first

 

I looked through the fuse block i didnt see and blown ones ......i also tried changing all the bulbs

 

Engage your hazards does anything happen?

 

i tried that and still got nothin....im starting to think the wiring is messed up in the rear of the car

 

If all fuses are good.
Turn on lights and check for voltage at socket to gound. if you have voltage on meter and lights dont work chasis ground is bad. Pull off cover and remake connection.
If no voltage move to headlight switch which is a combination switch.
Front headlights and rear tailights are on different circuits. Are your dashlights out also?

 

Yeah I have no dash lights either.........the previous owner put a crx dash in the car..the gauges and all the idiot lights work though



also do u know if the door glass in a crx is the same as the ef hatch.....cause i bought some new glass for the door but its not long enough ....which makes me wonder if the doors are off a crx as well

Sounds like you have a short in the Illumination circuit...
Check you radio wiring...
It is a common accident to have a short when mounting a new radio..
Make sure no wires are pinched in the radio bracket.. Radio illumination circuit is the same as the tail light circuit...

and start looking at any other exposed wires for possible shorts...

 

The glass issue... You must have and 88-89 Hatch and you bought 90-91 glass.. the glass is a couple inches shorter...

the window issue .......the title says its a 1990 ....the glass is the right height but the length is about an inch or two shorter......but the door panels are out of a crx which makes me think the doors are too but i have no clue what year they are from.....is crx and civic glass different?
