one more thing. Can just one gear be rebuilt instead of the whole transmisson like if second gear grinds can just second gear be rebuilt?

the new civic si transmission has the closest gear ratios compared to all of the transmissions with a 4.40 to 1 final drive. ideally, the jdm itr tranny with lsd and a 4.75 to 1 final drive would be your first choice, however, this transmission will cost around 1700 new and around 1100 used. therefore, i'd suggest you get a civic si transmission for around 600.

if you do plan on replacing your synchro's it will be expensive...and not worthwhile. however, if this is what you really want...then find someone who knows what they're doing. opening up a transmission isn't something you're average wrench monkey can usually do successfully.

cant belive u paid 400 for a fucked up tranny

Keith said that all i need was a 4th and 5th gear which isnt that bad of a deal/ Thats all that needs to be replaced. Colin is rebuilding it for $100. Iam sure outta everyone on the board he would touch it cause he knows alot more about this stuff then you. You dont even know what the whole story is anyways and if your still pissed about that day you got issues yourself. And if you dont want me to keep bothering your then stay the fux away from me then too. And quti putting in your bs 2cents of useless info for me.

along with the gears, u also need SYNCROS.
im sure the ones he had were destroyed.
ok 400 dollar fucked up tranny
100 to get colin to fix
and prob at least 200 in parts
so thats 700, u coulda easly got a tranny for 7 bills and then not had to go buy parts and get it fixed, now u have a tranny that was massacred and may still have probs.
i have to give you my 2 cents cuz u obviosly have none
