Default F22B1 pistons and rods into F22A1??? Help?

Hi all..

well found out my Fseries in my wagon has Bad compression on cylinder 1..
bad rings?

I just got a complete but head and block separated F22B1 motor with Vtec head..

Now.. my question is...

Can I just pull the rods and pistons out of my F22B1 and put them into my F22A1?

and can I put the F22B1 head on the F22A1 block???

anyone know... ?

then unless your building the engine (which wouldnt be the most reliable) my advice would be to scrap this idea and get a good used engine that you dont have to piece all together.

It sounds like you want to put the current pistons in your bad block in your new block If so, this will require machining, rings, bearings, gaskets, etc. At this point your well over what it would be to get a used engine from a motor mall or yard.

Hmmm.. The more I look at it it seems you are right..

I was wondering if I could put my F22B1 pistons and rods into my F22A1...

The only thing wrong with my F22B1 is one stripped head bolt threads.. Is there a Way I can fix it??

Yes it is fixable but again with repair gaskets and misc costs that will come up you will be better off just getting a complete engine for the car and sell what you have.
